Mission Statement

The mission of the Liberty Township Police Department is to consistently seek and find ways to affirmatively promote, preserve and deliver a feeling of security, safety and quality service to members of the community of Liberty Township.

The Liberty Township Police Department is located at 1315 Churchill-Hubbard Road in the township Administration building.

The department has 24 well trained officers that meet and exceed all requirements set by state law and The Ohio Peace Officers Training Council.

There are 5 divisions within the department:

Patrol: Officers that patrol the township and respond to all calls for service. They are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Detective Bureau: Officers that investigate all serious crimes that occur within the township.

Juvenile: Officers that work with all the children of the township, as well as, with the school system.

Communications: Personnel that are on duty 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They handle all emergencies and informational calls that come into the police department for Police, Fire and Road crews. They also handle all Radio traffic from the officers, as well as, for the departments. They are responsible for 5 separate computer systems and 4 separate radio systems.

Records: Personnel that handle all reports that come into the department, as well as, all secretarial duties that are required for the departments.
